5/13/08 - DesktopIM Beta 1.0 Shipment

The Beta 1.0 release has been posted to SourceForge. DesktopIM is the first testing and demonstration client for DASH standard based desktop and mobile systems. This release will accelerate the development and deployment of DASH statndards based management solutions. The 1.0 release includes support for Dell, Avocent, Broadcom, and OpenWSMan. Initial profiles supported include: Base, RegisteredProfile, PhysicalPackage, SoftwareIdentity, Memory, Processor, and Sensor.

DesktopIM is built on popular open source infrastructure like Quartz, Spring, Struts, MySQL, etc. and thus can be rapidly expanded to include new functionality documented in the DASH industry standard.
