HealthIM

HealthIM: Is a system health monitoring tool for server and desktop computer system hardware being designed around the new CIM based CDM management interface standard and is built for use within the IT vendor community. HealthIM is the first diagnosis and health monitoring tool for distributed multi-vendor server and desktop hardware being built upon this emerging industry standard. The internal object model in HealthIM mirrors the object model of the specification being developed and augmented by the Diagnostics Work Group of the DMTF (to obtain access to the CDM industry standard please consult the Resources section of this web site) . As a result HealthIM supports computer systems and components across the vendor community with a high degree of interoperability and reliability. HealthIM uses the highly scalable xIM architecture as its core and thus, can be rapidly expanded with new capabilities.

HealthIM is designed to inform you of problems before your clients, end-users or managers do. The monitoring daemon runs intermittent checks on services you specify using "plugins" which return status information. Status information, historical logs, and reports can all be accessed via any web browser.
